  • BIOGRAPHY

    During his 32 year career in real estate, David has completed more than $1 billion worth of development, redevelopment, tenant improvement, and acquisition and disposition projects. His vast experience extends across the commercial, healthcare, lab, and residential sectors, and includes development, project management, construction, brokerage, acquisition/disposition, facility management, and architecture.

    David has directed MBRE’s Project Services division since 2005 and has completed 150 projects valued at more than $600 million. Of note, David oversaw the 440,000-square-foot LEED Gold development of Astellas Pharmaceutical’s North American headquarters in Glenview, IL, completed in 2012, and also implemented nine lab and office build-out projects for the pharmaceutical company in locations including New York, California, Colorado, São Paulo, Brazil, and Toronto. David also managed construction for a 110,000-square-foot LEED Gold headquarters for the General Board of Pension & Health Benefits of the United Methodist Church, in addition to various healthcare developments, tenant improvement, and renovation projects. David and his team are currently responsible for the development of more than $200 million worth of hospitals, medical office buildings, and ambulatory care facilities.

    His career highlights include overseeing the $2 million renovation of Toronto’s Skydome, completing more than $50 million in building and lobby renovations, managing more than 2 million square feet of commercial office construction projects, and leading the $165 million national roll-out development of 66 assisted-living projects.

    David was the founder of Keystone Real Estate Services, a firm specializing in owner representation and project management. The firm provided planning, design, entitlement, bidding, construction, move-in, and closeout services for commercial office tenants, residential/retail developers, lenders, private schools, and building owners.

    Prior to founding Keystone Real Estate Services, David held positions with The Walken Company as a senior vice president and Chicago design firm RMM, Inc. as a senior planner.
