    Karoline Eigel is a commercial real estate broker with over 20 years of commercial and residential leasing, sales, marketing, advertising and public relations experience. Currently on the development/leasing team for Harrison Square Chicago, a 13-acre life science and medical office innovation hub located within the Illinois Medical District, her focus is on expanding the life science footprint within Chicago. The first phase of the $1 billion redevelopment project delivered in June of 2020 and consists of the redevelopment of Old Cook County Hospital, a 342,000 square foot 106-year-old structure. The new iteration of the historic landmark includes a dual-branded 210-room hotel, Cook County medical offices, a childcare center, and a food hall- the first of its kind in the IMD. Subsequent phases will include retail, residential, lab and medical office.

    As a commercial real estate consultant, she was a principal at MarketHooks Consulting, where she developed and managed an extensive portfolio of leasing programs and marketing initiatives for national and international institutional investors and developers, as well worked with product leasing teams to help them plan and implement their leasing strategies. Notable clients include CIM Group, GE Asset Management, McCaffery Interests, Silverpeak Real Estate Partners, Draper & Kramer, The Trump Organization and Fulcrum Properties. Prior to commercial real estate, Ms. Eigel created and ran the luxury and development marketing programs for what is now Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago and worked as a broker for some of Chicago's top new construction developments. She is also a member of MBRE’s Executive Committee, which determines the firm’s future direction, supports tactical efforts, and monitors the implementation of strategic business plans and operational best practices.

    Ms. Eigel is on the Board of Directors and is a mentor for the HEAR Foundation (HEARFoundation.org), which provides $20,000 college scholarships and four years of mentoring to excelling Chicagoland high school seniors who are outstanding citizens in financial need. Since 2011, HEAR has provided 120 four-year scholarships to incredible young adults.
