We recognize that a property or development affects everything from the residents of the community to the environment as a whole. We manage and lease more than 7 million square feet of LEED-certified or ENERGY STAR-designated properties.
As a member of the USGBC, we are dedicated to implementing sustainable practices throughout the properties we develop and manage to ensure minimum consumption and maximum efficiency. We have more than 20 Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-accredited professionals who understand how to effectively create eco-friendly and healthy environments, not only for tenants, but also the surrounding community.
We incorporate LEED for Operations & Maintenance criteria throughout our management portfolio to ensure services, such as landscaping, recycling, and housekeeping, exceed requirements for LEED certification. We will also identify opportunities to earn LEED credits early in a project’s development process, as well as identify eco-friendly measures to be incorporated in lease or acquisition discussions.

In addition to working alongside the USGBC with LEED certification, we also work in conjunction with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in earning the ENERGY STAR designation for the properties we manage. Awarded by the EPA, the ENERGY STAR rating represents a mark of excellence in energy performance, maximizing energy efficiency, and reducing carbon footprints.
The sustainability practices we implement not only help preserve the communities we are a part of, but also reduce the bottom line for our clients. From improving worker productivity to reducing energy costs, our forward-thinking initiatives lower costs and enhance company images.
